Our Academy teachers are a select team of professionals working in the tv, film and theatre industry.

All of our teachers have been hand-picked by Laura & Carly as passionate, trusting, inspiring and reliable teachers for our students, with an extensive amount of knowledge and experience in working with young people.

All of our teachers are fully DBS checked, insured and trained professionals.

Millie – Academy Teacher

Millie graduated from the Urdang Academy with a First-Class Honours in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre.

Millie also trained at CAPA college of Wakefield where she completed her A Levels in Dance and Drama.

Millie’s recent credits whilst training include, Abuela Claudia in In The Heights, Lady Jacqueline in Me and My girl and Sister Mary Lazarus in Sister act.

Terri – Academy Teacher

Terri has a First-Class BA Honours BA Degree in Dance Practices, graduating from Middlesex University in

Terri participated in Southpaw Dance Company’s “RISE”, a celebratory event for London Borough of Culture 2020 where General Levy performed and Sadiq Khan watched.

Terri has a passion for teaching and aspires to inspire students in a safe and collaborative environment whereby individuals can develop their own creativity and confidence.

Holly – Academy Teacher

Holly is a professional dancer who has been dancing since a very young age and teaching different dance styles and Musical Theatre at different schools across London for over 8 years now. 

Following graduating from Wilkes Academy of Performing Arts on her scholarship, Holly has been working professionally in the performing arts industry for the past 3 years. 

Holly’s dance training includes Ballet, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Commercial & Musical Theatre. Holly combines her passion for dance and performing with her passion for teaching to inspire young people through dance.

Amy – Academy Teacher

Amy has recently graduated from Bird College where she trained in Professional dance and musical theatre. Here she received training from renowned industry professionals.

Previous training includes CAPA College (dance, drama, and performing arts) and Northern School of Contemporary Dance (ballet and contemporary).

Amy has danced a variety of styles from a young age taking exams in jazz, tap, ballet, and freestyle. She also attended a stage school where she gained further industry knowledge and stage experience.

Sarah – Academy Teacher

Sarah studied Drama and Theatre Studies at Royal Holloway University of London where she gained a BA (Hons.)

Since graduating Sarah has gone on to work as a performer in many Films, TV shows and series, theatre shows and commercials.

Alongside her passion for acting Sarah also has a passion for teaching, especially teaching children and adults with learning disabilities and/or Autism. This passion began when, at the age of 16, she volunteered with a local theatre group who worked with adults with learning disabilities and/or Autism.

Sam – Academy Teacher

Sam is a Professional Dancer who studied and achieved her BA Hons Degree in Dance and Performance at Middlesex University. 

Sam began dancing when she was just 3 years old. Sam is now International Dance Teacher Association qualified at Intermittent Level within Tap, Ballet and Jazz and has taught at multiple renowned dance schools across London as well as performed in multiple competitions and a variety of different shows. Hattie – Academy Teacher

Hattie is currently training at East 15 Acting School for her Masters degree in Acting and also has her Drama & English Literature degree from the University of Birmingham.

Hattie has always had a passion for Musical Theatre and Dance, having taken dance classes since the age of 2, and performing in musicals since the age of 8.

Georgia – Academy Teacher

Georgia has been working professionally as an Actress in the industry for the past 6+ years. 

Georgia trained at Kingston College, where she studied and found a love for musical theatre. She also has trained at MN Academy and The Actor’s Door Studio where she studied acting for screen. She continues to brush up on her craft by regularly attending short courses in London and with well renowned directors and practitioners.  

As an actress Georgia has appeared on commercials as well as TV Shows such as: Holby City, Doctors and her most recent debut to screen, the CBBC series Secret Life of Boys where she plays the role of Daisy Howard.  Continue reading “Georgia – Academy Teacher”

Georgie – Academy Teacher

Georgie began performing at the age of 3 when she joined the Margaret Howard Theatre School, where she was trained in ISTD Ballet, ISTD Tap, ISTD Modern Theatre Dance, Jazz, Commercial Dance and Musical Theatre.

At age 16, Georgie began her 3 year professional training in performing arts and ISTD Teacher Training with Momentum Performing Arts Academy. Carly Pryke – Academy Director

Carly Pryke – Creative Director & Vocal CoachCarly is a Professional Actress and Singer, whom since receiving her degree in Professional Performance in 2016 has been working professionally in the industry on Stage & TV, on Westend stages and Fringe Festivals, as well as singing and performing at Events across London and Hertfordshire, alongside teaching. 

Carly has a wealth of experience in teaching, coaching young people and adults, of all abilities, mainstream and SEN for over 8+ years now. She has taught Performing Arts at drama schools and companies across London, and facilitated Drama lessons to KS1, 2 & 3 in North London and Hertfordshire Schools.

Laura Davitt – Founder & Academy Director

Laura founded Fixation Theatre Company in 2012 and welcomes over 200 members weekly through our three schools in High Barnet, Borehamwood & East Finchley.

Laura trained at Chickenshed Theatre Company achieving a BTEC and Foundation Degree (Hons) in Inclusive Performing Arts.

Laura graduated in 2011 from Middlesex University with a BA (Hons) Professional Practice In Theatre and Education; alongside this she is a fully qualified Youth Worker.
