Weekly Classes: East Finchley: Wednesdays (6:30 – 7:30pm)
Our Youth Theatre Productions class is designed for secondary school students who are passionate about theatre—whether that’s performing on stage or working behind the scenes.
This class offers young people a safe and inspiring space to explore their creativity, collaborate with others, and develop practical theatre-making skills under the guidance of industry professionals.
In each project, students take on a variety of roles—actors, writers, directors, designers, and technicians—working as a team to devise, create, and produce their own plays and full-scale productions. From concept to curtain call, participants experience the full journey of theatre-making while building confidence, skills, and friendships.
What to Expect:
- Theatre Styles & Techniques: Discover a range of approaches, from classical and contemporary to improvisation and experimental theatre.
- Script & Story Development: Learn the fundamentals of playwriting, characterisation, and narrative, and develop original scripts or adapt existing works.
- Production Skills: Gain hands-on experience in lighting, sound, set design, props, costumes, and stage management.
- Collaborative Projects: Work as part of a creative ensemble to devise, rehearse, and produce original theatre pieces.
- Performance Opportunities: Share your work in showcases and productions, gaining valuable experience performing for an audience.
- Creative Growth: Build confidence, resilience, and teamwork while developing your artistic voice in a supportive environment.
