Our first overseas trip!

Berlin Film Festival

We were so excited this year to be able to provide, for the first ever, a trip abroad for our young people! Our Youth Theatre Group wrote a spoken word piece for their annual self devised show last year named ‘I’m Just a Teenager’

The spoken word piece was our young peoples voice reflecting the struggles that they feel young people have to face in today’s society. We then decided to film this spoken word piece (which you can find on our youtube channel) and enter it into the Berlin Film Festival.

Once entered into the Film festival, we were then lucky enough to be invited over to Berlin by the town Mayor in which the festival is held and experience the film festival first hand.

Our Youth Theatre group were so excited to be able to travel to Berlin and see their work, along with others in the competition first hand.
